Why The Portland International Business District?
Portland International Business District, formerly the Portland International District, is a non-profit group who operates to develop a safe, helpful, and harmonious environment for the community and businesses in the North East Portland.
What is a Business Association?
Business associations are similar to trade organizations except that membership is based on the location of each business as opposed to the type of business. A business association helps create cohesiveness among local businesses. Businesses form these associations to help themselves and their area thrive, attract new customers, and become a shopping destination.
Why should your business get involved?
This is simple. There is strength in numbers. Our voices will be louder. Forming and maintaining a strong business association allows us to concentrate on keeping the qualities unique to our area, or making changes that will benefit everyone. Some benefits of getting involved are:
• Become a better area to conduct business.
• Create a project or solve a problem.
• Attract the attention of our local government.
• Network with your fellow businesses.
A strong, active business association supports a healthy neighborhood, helps maintain housing prices, and works to keep the businesses within it flourishing. All of these things are possible with a vibrant business community that is supported by the neighborhood.
How do you get involved?
If you want to get involved, please join us at the US Bank branch located at 7200 NE Fremont Portland, Oregon at 6:30pm. Please call 503.249.3926 if you have questions.
